Lunley was born with arthrogryposis, a rare condition that caused limitations in her arms, deformities in her knees, and severe clubfoot. From an early age, everyday movements were a challenge—but her determination and spirit have always been strong. When she was just 3 years old, Lunley and her family found their way to LuskinOIC, where her journey toward mobility began.
Under the expert care of Dr. Scaduto and Dr. Silva, Lunley underwent multiple surgeries and received bilateral casting to address her complex needs. Through every step, she showed incredible bravery and resilience. The road wasn’t easy, but with a dedicated medical team and the loving support of her family, Lunley made remarkable progress.
Today, Lunley is starting to mobilize and is gaining more independence every day—with the help of her walker, she’s moving forward, literally and figuratively. Her story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when expert care meets courage and hope.

As a parent, your top priority is keeping your child safe and healthy. But when your child is sick or injured, it can be hard to know what level of care they need. Should you call your pediatrician, visit urgent care, or head straight to the emergency department?
For non-emergencies, your child’s pediatrician or a pediatric urgent care center is often the best place to start.
