LuskinOIC proudly served as a sponsor of the 2026 Angel City Games, Southern California’s premier Paralympic sports festival, held at El Camino College. The annual event brought together hundreds of athletes with disabilities from across the region to compete, learn, and connect through more than 20 adaptive sports clinics led by elite coaches. Athletes and families also explored a vibrant community resource fair featuring organizations dedicated to expanding opportunities, services, and support for people with disabilities.
As part of LuskinOIC’s commitment to advancing health, inclusion, and community partnerships, Dr. Soroush Baghdadi, Dr. Paige Dyrek, and Dr. Sharon Hame led a team of medical students, residents, and fellows from medical institutions across Southern California in providing first aid coverage throughout the event. Together, they helped ensure a safe environment for hundreds of athletes while creating meaningful hands-on learning opportunities for future healthcare professionals in adaptive sports medicine and disability-centered care.
The Angel City Games exemplify the power of collaboration between healthcare providers, community organizations, and athletes to create more inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities. Through partnerships like these, LuskinOIC continues to expand its impact beyond the clinic—supporting healthier communities, strengthening disability inclusion, and helping shape the next generation of clinicians committed to equitable care.
Through its Disability Community Engagement program, LuskinOIC continues to build partnerships that connect clinical education with the lived experiences of the disability community, creating lasting impact both on and off the field.
