Alex’s life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with scoliosis—a condition that forced him to step away from his favorite sport, water polo. The diagnosis was a tough blow, but thanks to expert care from LuskinOIC CEO Dr. Scaduto, Alex found hope. After undergoing surgery and receiving specialized treatment, he was able to recover and return to the sport he loves.
Now, just a few years later, Alex’s story has come full circle. In the fall of 2024, he began his first year at UCLA as a member of the water polo team—an incredible achievement that once seemed out of reach. His journey back into the water is a testament to his determination, and to the life-changing care he received at LuskinOIC.
Beyond the pool, Alex is thriving. He spends his weekends surfing with his dad and friends, staying active and connected to the people who mean the most to him. Thanks to his treatment at LuskinOIC, Alex isn’t just competing again—he’s living life fully, with confidence and strength.
