Graduating seniors from Orthopaedic Medical Magnet High School (Ortho High) were inspired by keynote speaker Dr. Shane Hervey, whose heartfelt message encouraged students to embrace life’s challenges with courage, determination, and a clear sense of purpose.

A physician, educator, and leader in healthcare, Dr. Hervey shared lessons from his own journey and emphasized the importance of remaining committed to personal growth, even when faced with obstacles. Drawing inspiration from NFL quarterback Russell Wilson’s “Three P’s,” Dr. Hervey encouraged graduates to carry Purpose, Perseverance, and Perspective with them as they enter the next chapter of their lives.

He challenged students to discover their purpose and pursue it with intention, to persevere through setbacks and adversity, and to maintain perspective by appreciating both successes and challenges as opportunities for growth.

Dr. Hervey’s message resonated deeply with the graduating class as they reflected on their accomplishments and looked ahead to future educational and career pursuits. His words served as a reminder that success is not defined solely by achievements, but by resilience, character, and the willingness to continue moving forward.

The ceremony celebrated the hard work, dedication, and achievements of the Class of 2026, marking an important milestone as students prepare to make their impact on the world.
