Amy Poehler and Starlight Bring Joy to LuskinOIC Patients

Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children was honored to welcome Amy Poehler and Starlight Children’s Foundation as part of Starlight’s Play Week campaign, celebrating the important role play has in a child’s healing journey.

During the visit, more than 30 patients received toys and special gifts while enjoying time with Amy, who shared laughs, conversations, and smiles with children and their families. The toy delivery brought moments of happiness and distraction that helped brighten the hospital experience for our young patients.

Starlight’s play-based programs help reduce anxiety, build confidence, and create a sense of normalcy for children receiving medical care. We are grateful to Amy Poehler and Starlight Children’s Foundation for making this special day possible and reminding us that healing begins with happiness.
