Eleven-year-old Fernanda has been a beloved member of LuskinOIC’s International Children’s Program (ICP) since she was just 2 years old. Born with syndactyly, a condition affecting finger separation, Fernanda has undergone three carefully planned surgeries under Dr. Wright’s expert care to improve her hand function and mobility.

Her most recent procedure in 2024 marked a significant milestone, successfully separating her index and middle fingers to allow for greater dexterity and independence. Through dedicated postoperative bracing and occupational therapy, Fernanda continues to strengthen her hands and develop increasingly refined motor skills.

Fernanda’s creative spirit shines through in everything she does. She loves coloring and crafting, and her artistic talents have brought joy to our entire team—she even handmade beautiful bracelets as gifts for our staff members. These activities not only showcase her personality but also demonstrate the remarkable progress in her hand function.

Fernanda’s nine-year journey with LuskinOIC exemplifies the transformative impact of our International Children’s Program, where surgical expertise, comprehensive rehabilitation, and genuine care help children from around the world achieve their dreams and express their unique talents.
